    Support For Your Committee - Marketing Convenor

    A half day workshop, delivered by Claire Middleton & the Scottish Golf Club Development Team, to support the Marketing Convenor and their team to establish a strategy for achieving the marketing objectives that best serve your clubs aims.  

     

    Whether it’s Membership Recruitment, or to increase Visitor numbers, no club can afford to ignore the importance of marketing on their two most crucial income streams. Devising a Marketing Plan and Budget however can be a considerable challenge, especially for an incoming Marketing Convenor who perhaps has little or no marketing experience.  Building a brand, creating engaging content, growing awareness and interest with a wider audience and communicating consistently and regularly with your current members, potential members and visitors alike, whether through more traditional media such as local newspapers or local radio, or through using Social Media. This education seminar is to provide new and existing Marketing Convenors, and their senior ‘workforce’ - volunteers, club staff, or club professionals - the opportunity to identify and address these common issues and establish a strategy for Marketing which fits within your golf club’s particular situation.

     

     Aims of this professional development workshop

    • to establish the roles and responsibilities of the Marketing Convenor, your volunteers and any staff involved in Marketing at your club.
    • to provide you with a means to establish a policy and plan for the development of Marketing at your club and how your Marketing fits into your wider club governance & business plan.
    • to enable you to create strategies and tactics to implement the Marketing Plan

     

    Presenter and Materials –

    This seminar will be delivered by Claire Middleton, a marketing graduate with over 25 years in the golf industry, who will help you complete a step by step marketing plan for your club. 

     

    Target audience for this workshop -

     This seminar is aimed at Committee Members/ Club Managers/ Captains who recognize the importance and their responsibility for marketing at their golf club.

    This workshop is open to all clubs affiliated to Scottish Golf at £ 99 for two delegates from your club. You may register your interest in attending this seminar by clicking in the box near our "Scottish Golf" logo on this website, and following the instructions on the top left of this screen. You will receive an email acknowledging your interest, and when sufficient demand has been reached to deliver this seminar, Scottish Golf will contact you and provide at least four weeks’ notice of the date and venue of the workshop.

    Tory set up Traffic Health and Fitness Limited in 2002 to offer professional support and advice on all matters relating to operating Health, Fitness, Golf and Spa facilities in the UK and overseas.

    She has over 25 years’ experience within the Leisure Industry from qualifying as a Physical Training Instructor in the Women's Royal Navy to managing Marriott Hotel Health & Leisure Clubs to supporting 49 Clubs in Europe. Tory has a broad range of practical experience to draw on including delivering management and staff development programmes; mystery shopping; auditing; writing & implementing quality management systems; reviewing sales procedures & processes; and a greater awareness of procurement and project management.

    She is a dynamic, enthusiastic and experienced professional and has a huge amount of skills and energy to share with you.

    Social Media- Whether you know nothing, a little or a lot about Social Media platforms, the content of this workshop will help you better understand and utilise social media platforms.
